Baby Got Back (Ribs)

Enjoy These Other Tips

As I am always saying, food should be easy for you. Use ingredients you like and make them your own. All these dishes are so easy to swap out spices and ingredients to make them exactly the flavor profile you want to create. This should be fun, not intimidating. Don’t have an ingredient on hand? Switch it out, NO big deal. That is the awe of cooking.

If you don’t want pork, substitute chicken breasts or thighs

Chuck Roast, Flank Steak, or Brisket

Turkey Breasts

Go Vegetarian and just slow cook your fav veggies with your spice rub,

do you boo.

For the rub-a-dub

Use whatever spices your little heart desires

or use none at all for a clean, simple meal.

I also like the idea of a coffee and ancho chili rub, I love sweet and heat.

Garlic, Onion, Mustard powder, etc!

Slaw Options

I always like the idea of cleaning out fridge so check out what you have on hand.

Think crunchy. Use Kale, broccoli, radishes, carrots, whatever you can thinly slice, make it your slaw!

I like to add a little sweetness such as apples, raisins, cranberries, dates, mandarin oranges, pears, or omit the sweet completely if you wish.

For the dressing I just like to use an acid such as vinegar or citrus, olive oil, and fresh herbs or spices.

Mix it up to make it your personal flavor.

Cilantro, lime, chipotle powder, YUM! Possibilities are endless. Get to cookin’!
